Playgroup

Catie is part of a playgroup that meets every Friday. The moms sit around and chat while the kids stare at each other, sit up, fall over, cry, sleep, fall on each other etc. It is a lot of fun and something that we really enjoy. Catie is the oldest baby at 8 months. Andrew (the only boy who Catie loves) is 7 months, Rio is 6 1/2 months and Sofie is 6 months. Catie might be the oldest, but she is also the shortest. Guess it's in her genes! Here are some pictures of Catie's playgroup last Friday. Soooo cute!

Catie is Tiny Talk's Baby of the week

I just got an e-mail saying that Catie was The Baby of the Week for the Tiny Talk's Blog. You can check her out here

http://blog.tinyprints.com/

Yeah Catie!!!!

Catie's new ride

The baby store Right Start declared chapter 11 bankruptcy (which is always great when you still have a gift card that you can't use, but I digress). Since it is closing, everything is on sale so we jumped on this opportunity to buy Catie's next car seat. The Britax Boulevard costs a small fortune so getting 30% off on it really helps. As soon as I heard the news we bought the seat...good thing that we did since less then 24 hours they were sold out. The car seat arrived yesterday and Catie seemed to like it...even in the box. Anyways, just a random post and picture. Have a great day!

PS- we have our playgroup tomorrow and I will bring my camera so you can see Catie with her little friends.

Spring is finally here!

Friday was beautiful in Marin so we decided to spend the whole day outside. It was in the 70's, sunny, and everything was in bloom. Catie and I went for walk/run in the morning and then came home and she had some carrots. Catie loves carrots (hopefully she won't get my bad eye sight) and then she worked on trying to hold a sippy cup.

We are just beginning to work on it but so far she is doing a great job.

After we got her cleaned up we headed to the Springtime at the Park Playdate in Mill Valley. This is an event that the mother's club that I am part of does where all of the playgroups get together in the same areas. When we got to Boyle Park it was crazy. There were about 50 adults and kids there and you heard lots of shrieking! We found our playgroup and hung out in the sun for awhile. It was a great day and I hope that the weather on Friday is just as nice. Yes...I am already planning my weekend even though it is only Monday. Have a great week!

PS- sorry that the pictures aren't great but they were taken from my iphone!

Nonnie's 95th Birthday

A couple of weeks ago we flew down to Pasadena to celebrate my grandmother's 95 birthday. My grandmother, Nonnie, is an amazing woman. She is 95 but acts like she is 70. She is loved by everyone and one of the greatest women that I know. Nonnie has 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren (Catie is #18). The entire family flew in or drove in to celebrate her birthday. Friday night we all gathered at my aunt and uncles for dinner (all 35 of us). On Saturday my mom and aunt threw her a wonderful birthday lunch at Annandale Golf Club. Her family and friends were all present and so many people gave wonderful toasts about her. After the lunch, and when the guys finished playing golf, we all gathered at my parents house for dinner. It was a weekend filled with family, memories, celebration and food!

Here is a classic picture of Nonnie...we love this one!

Congrats Erin!!!

Catie's Auntie E (Colin's sister) has had an amazing month. It was her birthday on March 9th, she is buying a new car, and going to Hawaii this week. Oh yeah, and she was just officially appointed Athletic Director at Seattle Pacific University. Not only is she the new AD but she is the first woman AD that the school has had, and probably the youngest as well. Heck ya Erin!! We are so proud of you. I might be a Trojan but I am pretty fond of the Falcons now!

Enjoy Hawaii Erin....you deserve it!

We love you!
